biography

Natalie Thrasher (she/her), soprano, is originally from Cullman, Alabama. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, along with a certificate in Musical Theatre. Natalie is a member of the Delores and Weldon Cole Honors College at the University of North Alabama. She is also a member of the UNA Chamber Choir, where she serves as a section leader. Previously, she has been a member of the Collegiate Singers Ensemble and Vocal Jazz Ensemble. Natalie has performed in numerous roles including Sister Mary Martha (Sister Act), Alyson (A Grand Night for Singing), Giannetta (The Elixir of Love), a Statue (The Hunchback of Notre Dame), a dancer (Elf the Musical), Pirate/Fighting Prawn (Peter and the Starcatcher), Attina (The Little Mermaid), Kathy (Scrooge), one of the Three Pigs (Shrek the Musical), and Zazu (The Lion King Jr.). In 2016 and 2018, Natalie performed in the Alabama All-State Choral Festival. Also in 2018, Natalie was invited to perform at the International Thespian Festival for her role as Morticia Addams in the piece “Where Did We Go Wrong” from The Addams Family. Currently, Natalie is a member of the University of North Alabama's Opera & Musical Theatre Program, where she enjoys exploring characterization and movement in performance. She purposefully cultivates her solo repertoire with a range of musical genres and experiences. Natalie is studying with Dr. Gretchen Windt.
